Description

Creates a 3D polygon mesh in the shape of a sphere. Choose from a combination of options including center, radius, diameter, and number of segments.

Methods to create a sphere

There is one method to begin creating a sphere:

  • Center of sphere
Center of sphere
Begin creating a sphere by specifying the center then:
Set radius of sphere
Specify the radius of the sphere.
Additional option: [Diameter]
Number of longitudinal segments
Specify the number of isolines, perpendicular to the xy-plane, used to simulate the sphere’s curved surface. The default is 16.
Number of latitudinal segments
Specify the number of isolines, parallel to the xy-plane, used to simulate the sphere’s curved surface. The default is 16.

After you begin creating a sphere, the following option may be available:

Specify the diameter of the sphere.
